Great Plains Chapter - Americans United For Separation of Church and State

2014 Voices United Celebration

Saturday, September 20, 2014

An evening of beautiful music provided by a trio from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas marked the beginning of the Great Plains Chapter of AU's "Voices United" fundraising event on September 20, 2014. The evening brought in nearly $400 for National AU.

Barbara and Mark Chamberlin graciously hosted the event, providing delicious ore devours and wine for those lucky members and guests to enjoy.

Barbara Chamberlin, board member and Media chair, explained the concept behind AU's "Voices United" event, and possible ideas on how we may go forward with the event next year. President Vickie Stangl then welcomed everyone and spoke briefly about the efforts of the Great Plains Chapter and how much she appreciated the support and contributions by those in attendance.

The evening was a relaxing mix of not only great live music, but also lively conversation with friends old and new who all felt strongly about the need to protect the separation of church and state principle from further erosion.
