Great Plains Chapter - Americans United For Separation of Church and State

8th Annual Meeting

Saturday, September 17, 2016

The Great Plains Chapter of AU is pleased to announce Micah Kubic, Executive Director of the Kansas ACLU, will be the keynote speaker for the chapter’s Eighth Annual Meeting.

It is fitting that we have this dynamic constitutional expert addressing our organization, since this year's Annual Meeting is Saturday, September 17th, which is "Constitution Day" as decreed by Congress. Micah will review the important church-state separation principle our Founder’s wisely included in the Constitution. As a solid legal expert and author, Micah manages to clearly explain complex information, and always with a bit of humor!

The Annual Meeting is open to the public and admission is free. The event will be held at the University Congregational Church at 29th & Webb. (9209 E. 29th N. Wichita, KS 316-634-0430).

At the conclusion of the keynote, a short intermission will take place with refreshments.

The second portion of the evening is called "Voices United." This is a time to enjoy great musical entertainment and each other's company and voices as we come together to support AU. Select board members will speak about their involvement in AU and why the organization is so important to the Wichita community, and to our nation. So sit back, relax, enjoy some wine, and listen to good music while supporting AU.

Stay tuned to this website for information on the musical group(s) performing on September 17th.

Doors open at 6:00, and the program starts at 6:30.
