We must be more vocal with our legislators if we are to be effective in our efforts to block legislation that seeks to undermine the separation of church and state. Near the end of January of 2014, the Great Plains Board would like to plan a trip to Topeka and do a little citizen lobbying. We are inviting members and people who support the separation of church and state to join us as we travel to Topeka to speak with legislators.
National AU is working to put together a lobbying kit for AU chapters across the nation. We will have a finalized schedule as January approaches, so stay tuned! If a large number participates, we hope to organize a bus for all of us to arrive together and be free from the hassles of driving and parking. Keep in mind that transportation would involve a small fee.
